Østfold University College has around 100 studies taught in new and modern premises. The university college has a total of just under 7,000 students. There are nearly 3,600 ordinary students at campus Halden, nearly 2,400 ordinary students at campus Fredrikstad, and nearly 1,000 students are taking continuing and further education programmes under the auspices of HiØ VIDERE (Centre for Continuing Education) at both campuses. The school has more than 550 members of staff. The Department of Engineering at Østfold University College is located at Kråkerøy in the city centre of Fredrikstad. We have approximately 430 students and 32 employees. The faculty offers bachelor programs in civil engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. We also offer a unique bachelor technology study in innovation and project management, and a newly started Master in Green Energy Technology.

Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) is dedicated to training students for the world of work, opening their minds to the latest knowledge and discoveries. With more than 72 active research and development groups, UPCT aims to be not only a reference for widespread knowledge, but also a resource for scientific and technological innovation. These groups carry out basic and applied research in a wide variety of fields, ranging from automatic control, fluid mechanics, environmental aerobiology and toxicology, mechanical and electrical engineering, business economics, applied mathematics, chemical engineering, metallurgy, physics, plant manufacturing and marine technology, to name but a few.

The University promotes joint research and scientific exchange programs with public and private organizations, as well as with several universities. In order to meet the challenges of today’s society and the needs of the labour market, UPCT organises conferences and seminars in various fields of science and technology, also helping to strengthen links between the University and industry. It also teaches at several postgraduate and doctoral programs.

The European Projects Office (OPECT) of UPCT is integrated into the Research and Technology Transfer Unit and was created in 2009 to address the challenges of the European Research Area, meet new demands and needs of researchers, strengthen EU research activities and foster participation. The Office has extensive experience in EU projects. Since its creation, they have applied for more than 350 projects in a wide range of calls and they currently manage 28 European projects, in leading programs such as Horizon Europe, LIFE+ and Erasmus+ among others.

Business Association Construction Technology Center of the Region of Murcia, CTCON, is an innovation center in the building and infrastructure sector. It was founded in 2003 and is made up of 53 associated companies. In these 17 years CTCON has developed 125 R&TD and innovation projects and provided numerous services to more than 450 clients. It is currently made up of 16 technicians and researchers who are performing 26 R&TD and innovation projects assigned to 4 areas: Sustainable Construction, Land Infrastructure, Energy and Digital Construction.

In the field of Sustainable Construction and Land Infrastructure, CTCON has wide experience in the following lines of innovation:

  • Circular Economy and recycled materials.

Regarding Energy and Insulation we have the following lines:

Technical University of Cluj Napoca (UTCN) is the largest technical university in Transylvania, Romania. It comprises 12 faculties in its two academic centres, Cluj-Napoca and Baia Mare, and 4 subsidiaries. UTCN educational offering includes 15537 bachelors, 4385 masters and 865 doctoral students. There are 908 academic staff and 891 administrative staff and 88 research structures. The thematic fields cover most of the engineering domains, but also sciences and arts. The university’s financial resources come from the state budget, self-financing and institutional development. UTCN fully integrates components of the strategic European, national and regional priorities for ensuring the convergence with the directions of intelligent economic regional development.

UTCN is one of the 8 universities conforming the EUt+ (European University of Technologhy) consortium, together with UPTC, Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria), Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus), University of Technology of Troyes (France), Hochschule Darmstadt, University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Technological University Dublin (Ireland) and Riga Technical University (Latvia).
